Christmas in July 2014 - With Dowal Walker

Oh Christmas... just that word being mentioned in July thrills me with dread - since not having my family in my life Christmas doesn't fill me with much joy and I generally feel like a spare part.

BUT... What I do love about this time of year are fabulous Christmas gift sets that I can treat myself to (of course) and my friends to!

The lovely people at Dowal Walker invited me to a sneak preview of their clients Christmas offerings.

How could I say no!?
La Roche Posay had some seriously good looking gift sets!
Creed Fragrance packaging is just epic!
Percy and Reed had some gorgeous little gift sets that came in a reusable make up bag.  Perfect for travelling.

Timothy Dunn London fragrances and candles are just magnificent this HUGE candle smelt divine.
Grown Alchemist a botanical beauty range looked great too.  I adore the understated packaging

Paul and Joe Beaute showcased their amazing packaging and new collections for the festive season.  I adore Paul and Joe and many moons ago I used a highlighting powder from them that I received as a gift.  I still have it now!
The lipsticks below are so moisturising and the packaging is stunning.
I tried the foundation in my shade below too - very moisturising and voluminous with a great scent and fab coverage.

Oh La Prairie this Skin Caviar Luxe Sleep Mask was beautifully cooling and soothing when applied with the brush below but at £204 for a 50ml size 'Here' it's way out of my price range but what a beautiful product.

Ecoya (in the photo above) is a brand I haven't heard of before, their candles smell amazing as do their candle gift sets which I also loved 'Here'
3 Lab Skincare above - I haven't heard of this brand before.  I adore the space-age packaging.  The above product is their Aqua BB with an SPF of 40 'Here'
Stila cosmetics were also at this event - I adore Stila their products are so versatile and excellent quality.
The poster below shows the 20th anniversary gift sets that will be available.
Some of these are available to buy already 'Here'

Vichy had some innovative products available.  I picked up the new anti- ageing BB cream 'Here' from the Idealia range and I am really looking forward to trying it.

KMS California had amazing Christmas gift sets with very festive and funky packaging.

Also showcased were Goldwell Kerasilk range below.  I have used both Goldwell and KMS before for my hair so I was excited to see the new gift sets they have.
Both of these ranges are amazing value for money and high quality.

The Perfume Society were showcasing a new concept in beauty boxes with the introduction to a monthly subscription to new perfumes.  If you subscribe to the website now you will receive the first perfume box for free!  I took my first box home and I will report back on it's contents and concept in a blog post!
Rouge Bunny Rouge is a brand I haven't heard of before.  A whimsical range of make up, fragrances and gifts.
I adored the packaging, and the fragrances - my favourite being the fragrance CHATOYANT which is in the photo below.  Simply because of it's amber and woody scent.

CHATOYANT above is just a gorgeous fragrance.
I adored the packaging.
Also shown was SACHAJUAN a styling, haircare and body range. I have heard of his brand before, as I remember it being in one of the Selfridges beauty boxes some months back.  Unfortunately we couldn't get near to this range to try it because there were far too many people milling around in a small room.  I was sad because I haven't tried anything from this range before.
Lastly was Mary Greenwell Perfumery an award winning make-up artist, Mary Greenwell has now turned her talents to the art of fine fragrance.
I smelt the cherry fragrance and I wasn't bowled over by the scent, But I do like the packaging.  I have never heard of this brand before, have you?

So that was Christmas in July 2014 and a sneak peak at things to come by some great brands!
I had a great time, so many thanks to the team at Dowal Walker for inviting me.
What do you think of the brands shown? Anything caught your eye?
