Tarte 'be MATTEnificent' Palette - Review

I was lucky enough to receive this gorgeous Tarte be MATTEnificent as a birthday present from my friend two weeks ago.

She was off to Florida and asked me what I would like and it was either this palette or a Josie Moran kit.
I'm so pleased that she got me this palette instead of the Josie Moran one!

The Tarte be MATTEnificent is an Amazonian coloured clay matte collectors palette.

I saw it on Sephoras website and fell in love with it on there, but in the flesh this palette is even more beautiful.  This palette currently isn't available on Sephora's website but I managed to find it on Amazon US 'Here' for $58.85
The packaging of this palette is beautiful, it has a amethyst lid with gorgeous complementing shades inside.
The film lid tells you where each of the clay matte products can be used.

There are 6 eye-shadows, one Amazonian clay blusher, and two liners included.
The consistency of the eye-shadows in this palette are soft and highly pigmented with the texture of velvet.

I mainly use the top colour on my lid of 'stand out from the crowd' for my base, then a sweep of 'Pink outside the box' over my entire lid, and then a sweep of 'Rose to the occasion' in my crease.
The above picture gives you a basic idea of how the first two shadows look in natural daylight - plus my poor dry skin with all the medication I am on at the moment.
The picture above shows how matte these Amazonian eye-shadows are, they stay all day without creasing and really open up my eye area.
I haven't used the two eye-liners included in the palette as yet, but on first impressions they seem highly pigmented and easy to apply with the brush included.
I have used Collections black felt tip liner to line my lids instead.
The finished look above.

I think you'll agree the colours in this palette are just beautiful!  They complement each other, are a luxurious feel when applying on my lids and I simply cannot wait to try more from Tarte!

I understand from my fellow bloggers that Tarte is coming to the UK at the end of March 2014 and you can purchase it through QVC UK 'Here' You can read Ree from Really Ree's blog post about show times on QVC and the range available 'Here'

What do you think of Tarte?
Do you have anything from the range?
