Professional Beauty London - Review

On 23rd of February 2014 my friend and I visited Professional Beauty at the ExCel London.

I received free tickets to the event which saved us £20.00 each.  I didn't know what to expect from this event, I was still in pain since my car accident, but armed with painkillers and comfy clothes we braved the muck up with the trains on that day - and made our way there late.  Purely because getting there later meant it wouldn't be that busy and in turn no one would accidentally barge into my poor arm and shoulder in the process!

(Warning this post is picture heavy!)

I found getting to the ExCel difficult using the DLR mainly because of signage not being clear and the amount of transport difficulties we experienced on the Sunday.  But once you get to the ExCel its really easy to find your way around.
Essie was at the event, their stand was amazing with all polishes around £5.00 each
I would of  gone mad at this stand but preferred the colours available on the ORLY stand
The Clarins stand was bustling
Leighton Denny
The Elemis stand was huge and they offered great "at show" discounts on their various kits
Caudalie stand was very pretty

Royal Langnickel brushes
ABC - Australian Bodycare stand had great discounts available
The body art professional stand had amazing glitter tattoos available, they were beautiful!
Butterfly glitter tattoos!

OPI Had quite a few kits on offer

The ORLY stand was my favourite and was were I made a purchase! 3 polishes for £15.00 is REALLY good!
ORLY's shade shifter Gel effect polish intrigued us!
I purchased this shade, it was just so beautiful in the bottle

Her Clutter box looked fab and a competitor to Muji but wayyy to expensive for me!
My tips if you attend Professional Beauty -

Eat before you arrive - the sandwiches at the ExCel were extremely pricey.
We ate in Waterloo station in Burger King, and it filled us up for the rest of the day.

Take the smallest amount of stuff with you, because you'll get tired carrying things, watch out for the crazy ladies with the HUGE suitcases around the event, they can really get in the way!

If you can, get there later, you'll have more chance to browse everything on show without wading through crowds at the most popular stands

Bring a sturdy bag for life with you, some of the plastic bags they give you really don't last that long

Take cash and cards with you - most stands take cards, some I found don't?

The stands I thought were worth looking at for presents or just things for yourself -

Essie - great choice of polishes and kits on offer for reasonable prices

ORLY - their range is beautiful and they offer 3 polishes for £15.00!  Only issue I found with ORLY were the staying power of the polishes they chip really easily!

The various make up brush stands offer many kits of brushes in cases from £10.00 upwards

NYX - Their stand had most products reduced by £3-£4 but their stand was proper battered when we got their so everything was in a mess and I really couldn't be bothered to look properly!

Art Deco - Their stand had everything!! I bought a nail polish and eye-shadow for £2.00. They had all their kits and the value was great!

You can sign up for free tickets to next years Professional Beauty being held on 22nd - 23rd February 2015 in London 'Here'

Professional Beauty also has shows in North UK, Ireland, South Africa and India.

If you visited the 2014 Professional Beauty Event in London - what did you think of it?

And more importantly what did you buy?

I will definitely be going next year!
