Rimmel London Salon Pro - Nail Polish Review

So I gave into another hyped-up product and thought I would try the new Rimmel London salon pro nail polishes with Lycra.

The colour I went for was number 317 'Hip Hop' this shade is 1 out of the 10 shades created by Kate Moss.  The photos I have taken really do not show this colour to it's full advantage.

The colour of hip hop is somewhere between a red and orange and thanks to the huge thick maxi brush (below) one brush on the nail is all you need to coat it fully.

I like the idea of the maxi brush - I have seen it used by other nail companies before.

Having Lycra in a nail polish is a great idea - the first time I painted my nails with this shade they lasted for 4 days before they started chipping - but recently the staying power of this polish isn't that great and within a few hours of painting my nails in this shade today it has already started to chip!

Rimmel state that this salon pro polish will last '10 days chip resistant with a gel shine finish' but I don't think that their claim is accurate as I have stated above the polish simply doesn't last 10 days!

I like the packaging of the polish as it's quite classy and simple in its design, but generally I won't be buying from this range again - I don't see what all the fuss is about?  I much prefer the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints for their longevity and vibrant colour pigments - not to mention their glossyness!

The Rimmel London Salon Pro nail polishes come in 32 colours and can be purchased for £4.49 each from Boots and for more information on the range from Rimmel itself.

What do you think of this Rimmel salon pro range?
