Elemis Pro - Collagen Cleansing Balm - Review

Apologies for being M.I.A recently but I have moved house so things have been quite hectic for me!

Today's post is centred purely around the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm, I simply adore the stuff! :-)
I bought a fab kit from QVC about a month ago, and as soon as I saw that it contained the cleansing balm in a 30g size I HAD to have it.  I am now using up the last dregs of the balm as I have been loving using it morning and evening.

How to use it

With dry fingertips, scoop a small amount of the cleansing balm out of the jar and massage directly into the skin. Wet your fingertips and continue to massage as the balm transforms into a beautiful milk. Remove with a very warm cleansing cloth.

Use morning and evening. Avoid contact with the eyes.

Follow with your skin type prescribed Elemis Toner and Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.

I understand from other bloggers that have reviewed the cleansing balm that they have found the product to be less than great at taking off eye make-up?  If you read the instructions for the balm it states that it is not to be used as an eye make-up remover and for you to keep it away from the eye area!

I would never use a balm on my eye area - it's simply too delicate for such a rich textured balm to be used on it.

I use my old faithful Bioderma to remove my eye make up before I use the Elemis balm.

Once my eye make up has been removed and I have cleansed using the balm I then apply a face oil and Elemis Pro - Collagen Marine Cream as they are the perfect pairing!

I like how hydrating this balm is, is allows my dry skin to soak up the ingredients and doesn't leave my face feeling tight or dry.

Key Ingredients:

What do you think of cleansing balms?  Are there any other brands that stock cleansing balms that you would recommend?

I have just purchased the Emma Hardie version so I will do a blog post comparing the two once I have used the product for a number of weeks.
