Internet dating during a Pandemic - Where do I start?!!

Hello! Sorry I’ve been missing, like everyone 2020 has been a CRAZY year 😢

I’m going to try my hardest to get into blogging more in 2021, try and post more on all my social media channels and get back into what I love – but 2020 has been hard for me to manage and with health issues, financial issues and feeling incredibly low every day.

Ever the optimist, internet dating in 2020 wasn’t the top of my priority list, I am currently on Bumble and Tinder, and as yet no virtual dates but we live in hope!  (I have only signed up to these apps in the past 4 weeks, so it’s still early days!)

Of a more mature age?  Then the dating agency below can help
If you’re more mature than me then dating agency Dorset should be your first point of call.

Missing out on Human contact during a pandemic?
The hardest part of 2020 has been missing human contact, so I am happy to chat to anyone whether that be a dating site, or via WhatsApp with my friends.
I think everything has suffered during 2020, the high street, people’s mental health, careers and relationships.

My Advice for your dating profile
I live in hope that I can meet someone nice, and just see what happens.  I think the best advice I can give is to not put overly filtered profile pictures on your dating profile, it’s not an honest representation of you and what you look like.

Also have a mixture of photos, full length, with friends, outside in nature.  Make them as natural as possible, pictures you’d be proud to show anyone are the best!

Also add some character to your dating profile – your aspirations, what you are looking for in your next partner, if you smoke, your height, if you have kids, pets and how far away you live.

Give this information so that you can be honest and upfront which also means it cuts out asking these questions when you eventually make contact with someone and get chatting.  I always find the small talk really boring, so if it’s already in your profile you just don’t have to ask again.

Also, the main thing is to never give up – spend 5 minutes a day doing some swiping, you never know where it might lead!  The right person will be out there for you when the time is right.

I certainly don’t need a relationship with a man to define me, I’m extremely independent and enjoy my own company way too much, but that isn’t to say that I want to be single forever.

There is more to life than bad relationships, I’m looking forward to 2021 being the year that we all don’t take things for granted and we hustle for what we want – but more importantly we don’t forget to look after ourselves and our own mental health, and that we attract the right people that when they come into your life accentuate it in an amazing way!

I’m certainly looking for someone whose cups completely full and overflowing – and I certainly won’t stop until I find him :-)
