Beefeater Showcases Their New Summer Menu

Happy Monday!
I know Mondays suck, but how about some food porn pictures to cheer you up??

A few weeks ago an amazing PR company got in touch, and invited me to an event to promote the Beefeaters new Summer menu - hosted by their new Brand Development Chef: Paul Fletcher.

Paul Fletcher is a renowned chef, formerly at Gaucho, and on the day he took us through a handpicked selection of Beefeater's new summer dishes.
Get ready for some food heavy pictures!

The event was held at the beautiful Coombe Lodge near Croydon, a grade two listed building.
The venue can be hired for weddings too.

A great venue, with tons of old charm and a beautiful conservatory that I'm sitting in, in the photo below!
Paul Fletcher knows his stuff about food, any question asked at the event, he could answer.  So much knowledge and experience in his varied career, from working with Jamie Oliver, to Head chef at Harvey Nichols

I've visited quite a few Beefeater restaurants when I was little, and it seems Beefeater are coming back, with loads of new restaurants popping up in the UK.  You can find your nearest 'Here'

Beefeater have been grilling since 1974, with 140 restaurants.  The 13 piece taster menu we ate on the day showcases the difference Paul has made to the franchise.  All extremely exciting stuff!
Right lets get onto the summer menu, and what's on offer...
Above - Loaded Potato Dippers
These irresistible potato dippers are topped with cheese, bacon & spring onion and served with a cool sour cream & chive dip £4.79
Above - Classic Prawn Cocktail
Sweet, juicy prawns served with a crisp lettuce, tomato and cucumber salad, our rich Marie Rose sauce and warm ciabatta £5.29 (yours will come on a plate and be much larger than this taster pot!)
Above - Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Salad
Meaty salads don’t come much better than this. Succulent chicken breast strips tossed with baby leaf salad, streaky bacon, avocado, red pepper and cherry tomatoes £10.99
Above - Ultimate Cod & Chips
The ultimate classic. Freshly battered chunky Atlantic cod fillet freshly fried until golden brown and served with triple cooked chips, good old fashioned mushy peas and tartare sauce £11.29
One of my favourite dishes of the night, the Cod was melt in your mouth delicious!
Above - These Steak Burgers were small in size, but packed a mighty punch!  Taster burgers are easier to eat at events, but all the while these made me wanting to taste their full sized equivalents!

Beefeater steak burgers…
Made from 100% farm-assured British and Irish beef, our steak burgers are bursting with flavour. Expertly chargrilled and double stacked with two ¼lb* steak burgers and loaded with our Signature burger sauce. All our burgers come served the Beefeater way – stacked with lettuce, tomato and red onion and served in a soft glazed bun with skinny chips and coleslaw.

Above - Double Chicken Piri Piri
This piri piri chicken is fiery perfection. Tender double chicken breast fillets basted in a hot piri piri glaze, served with skinny fries, house made chunky slaw and chilli & lime seasoned mini corn on the cob £10.99
Above - Another of my favourites from the evening were the Steaks, Sirloin and Rump steaks are pictured, and Paul Fletcher explained where each cut of meat came from on the animal, and the best way to cook it.  If I could be left alone with the trays of steak I would of eaten IT ALL!
Above - New to the menu; Eton Mess Sundae
This mess is perfect just the way it is. Vanilla flavour ice cream piled high with strawberries, blackcurrant coulis and crunchy meringue. Finished with a whip of cream and a wafer £4.99
One of my all time favourite desserts, I was beyond excited to see this gorgeous dessert added to the new menu!
Above - the chocolate milkshakes both non-alcoholic and alcoholic were divine!
Above - Cheesecake with Raspberry Compote
An irresistible baked vanilla flavour cheesecake with an oaty biscuit base, served with a raspberry compote £4.99
And last but by no means least... the Chocolate Melt in the Middle Pudding
Welcome to chocolate heaven. Served with ice cream, this moist chocolate sponge with a rich melt in the middle chocolate fondant centre is utterly delicious £4.99

So that concludes the food porn pictures of the amazing new summer menu at the Beefeater.  You can now all stop dribbling and console yourselves with the fact that you can book your own table 'Here' and sample the menu for yourselves!

Thanks for inviting me Beefeater, I had the best evening out, and I felt totally spoilt!
