Pure London - Ready to Wear Spring / Summer 2015 Trade Show

On the 3rd of August I hot - footed it down to Olympia in Kensington, to the Pure London show.
A trade buyers event that I was luckily enough to be given access too due to my blog.
I have never been to Pure London before, so I had no idea what to expect!

The last time I was at Olympia, I was at IMATS.  So I knew where I was going, but unfortunately on the 3rd of August there were major train disruptions and my journey there took nearly two hours!

This post is photo heavy so be warned.  Also if you've been to the show before you might not be interested in this post, but for a fashion and accessory lover like me, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing what Spring / Summer 2015 looks like!

Pure London is held twice a year and is the UK’s leading trade fashion buying event. Pure London is only open to registered trade visitors, those looking to start a new business (in the next 12 months) and accredited journalists - it is not open to members of the general public.

Melinda Looi fashion above and below -
About
Born as a daughter of an illustrious tailor, Melinda's career in fashion was not a planned one. Fate as it seems played its role when Melinda won the Malaysia Young Designer Award in 1995, consequently receiving a scholarship to La Salle School of Fashion in Montreal, Canada to pursue a dream all of her own.
Carving a niche for herself in stage costume productions, Melinda was propelled into the demanding and exhilarating world of fashion design.
I adore this dress, I love the monochrome look and funky accessories.
Pure London is the UK’s largest and most influential fashion buying event, presenting 1,000+ brands offering contemporary womens wear, young fashion, lingerie, swimwear, childrens wear, footwear and accessories.

Held twice a year, in February and August at London Olympia, Pure London continually attracts over 12,000 buyers each season.
Little Mistress had a lovely stand with fabulous maxi dresses.

And accessories.

Lana Nguyen above - this jumper I adored! So much so I posted it on Instagram.
AMy B. is a florentine brand that has great attention to the research of made-in Italy fabrics, manufacturing and style. I couldn't find a link to this brand unfortunately.

I adored the white leather jacket and bag combo!
I managed to catch the 'Content for Blogging: what really works' seminar that had some fashion bloggers attending talking about the subject.
There wasn't anywhere for me to sit to listen to the whole seminar so I walked around some more instead.
I haven't heard of these two fashion bloggers before? Have you?
Tiny Twisst and ThisGirlLovesChic both seem like lovely girls.

Above Olia Jewellery

About
Olia Jewellery was founded in March 2013 by Caroline Ollier.
Their aim is to create timeless costume jewellery which is both feminine and sophisticated with a nod to fashion.
With 15 years of experience in the fashion industry Caroline wanted to create a brand that is accessible without compromising on quality.
Each piece is made from the highest quality brass or mixed metals. Many of their items are silver and gold plated. Each piece is both lead and nickel free which means it will not cause allergies or discolouration to the skin.
The Olia Jewellery brand is already retailed in some of the UK’s best boutiques and has enjoyed success in its early days.

Pure London is scheduled next for February 2015 -

Tue 10 Feb 2015             09:30 - 16:00
I popped upstairs to lust after the accessories section...
And I came across Origami Jewellery - I met Claire, the designer and she was lovely, very informative and I loved their designs.  Although expensive they are unique and something that I hope I can purchase in the future.

About
Since jewellery is in the spotlight of today’s lifestyle, Claire and Arnaud, the French design friends founded their own brand “Origami Jewellery”, inspired by the beauty of Japanese creativity.
The inspiration came during a night in the winter when their friend Masayuki Muraki taught them the typical Japanese folding handicraft.
Their first collection made with thread and paper had this beauty of the moment. But the splendour of the Japanese shapes deserves to combine them with precious materials like gold or silver.
To produce this collection the couple decided to go to Japan to look for manufacturers able to reproduce precisely the fragile shapes.

Since January 2008, “Claire and Arnaud” introduce their first collection of jewellery with the model Tsuru, the symbol of peace in Japan.
The ORIGAMI JEWELLERY are now available all over the world.

Moda in Pelle - I love this brand but sadly I do not own anything from it.  Next seasons collection is both vibrant and stylish.

About
Moda in Pelle launched in the mid-70s with a single store in Leeds. It has since grown to be a national boutique brand, with close to 60 stores and concessions situated in prime retail locations across the UK. A high-fashion shoe brand that has been a favourite of British women for close to forty years, Moda in Pelle combines catwalk-inspired designs with a unique feminine approach and incorporates seductive styles with a modern edge.

The size of Pure London is impressive!
I will definitely be going back to Pure London next year if they'll have me!
Have you heard / or been to Pure London before?
I came away with an idea of next seasons clothes and tons of fashion bags from the brands I saw at the show!
