A New Year and a Fresh Start for 2014

This is the second time on my blog I've written this post, and looking back at my expectations for 2013 'Here' I managed to fulfill quite a bit!

Closet Confidential TAG (by Fleur De Force)

I love TAG videos on YouTube, and when I saw the lovely Fleur De Force's amazing new Closet Confidential TAG, I just had to do my own.
So here's the video below for your enjoyment!

November 2013 Favourites

I have a few gadget bits to talk to you about this month, from the love of my new mobile phone the amazing Samsung Galaxy Note 3, to the NARS At First Sight Palette, to the Avene Xeracalm A.D Cleansing Oil and the amazing Zara statement necklace.  Blog wise my love for Sandra from the Black Pearl and her amazing blog.. it's a mixed bag but check my video for more information.

Tag: I'm a Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out of Here!

I first saw this tag on Shona's blog Fresh Beauty XOX and loved reading her answers.

I watch I'm a celebrity religiously, I even record it on my TIVO box.
I love Ant and Dec and the banter that they have with each other,
I also love the I'm a celebrity get me out of here NOW! programme as I love Laura Whitmore and like to see what she's wearing!

I don't take part in many tag posts and liked the look of this one so here you go guys....

(The tag originated on Next Route Style's blog.)

You can only take one product into the jungle. What item would you choose and
why?
I''d definitely choose sun cream, I burn really easily and then once I've peeled (how glamorous) I am then quite tanned.
I don't see many of the celebs in the jungle using sun-cream, so I don't know if the programme supplies it to them?  I'd probably opt for the biggest bottle of factor 50 I could find!

My Christmas Wish List and Gift Guide

I love Christmas but it's a funny time of year for me personally - but that doesn't mean I can't make my own Christmas list, now does it?

eBay Lust List - Zara Inspired

I LOVE Zara but sometimes their gorgeous items can be expensive.

So after a quick browse on eBay I came across three great replicas of items that look the same as their Zara counterparts

Currently Lusting After - November 2013

Being the typical shopaholic that I am, I
peruse the internet quite a bit for bargains.

I love me things which look pricer than they appear!

Here's my current lust list for November - enjoy :-)

River Island

Paris, The Euro Star and Tips for a Parisian Weekend Away!

So I finally made it!
Last weekend I was in Paris, one of the many places I've always wanted to visit.

The view from outside our hotel room (I love this picture so much I'm going to get it printed onto a canvas!)

Debenhams Beauty Press Show 2013

On Tuesday 15th October I attended the Debenhams Beauty Press Show.

I had a rough idea of what to expect (a huge haul of Christmas booty) but I was overwhelmed by the choice of Christmas gifts available and how friendly the PR staff were.

This post is photo heavy so get a pen and paper and take note of all the gorgeous gifts I was shown.

You can view all of the Debenhams Christmas Gift Sets 'Here'

I met the lady herself and had a gorgeous facial with the lovely Emma Hardie.  She showed me other items in her range that can help my dry skin.  She used different techniques with the cleansing cloth to buff the skin dry and boost circulation.

Mags

As some of you lovelies might of noticed I've been missing in action blog wise the past few weeks.
This is because of a bereavement.

On 13th October 2013 I lost my best friend, surrogate mum, ex boss and all round angel Mags.

She was in hospital for 10 days and then in a coma and then deteriorated so rapidly that we lost her.

She is the reason why I have my blog, she always pushed me in the right direction, encouraged me to make the best of myself and truly loved me very much.

Mags and her daughter Lily

Laura Geller Waterproof Eye Spackle Primer

As some of you know I was lucky enough to be invited in January this year to the QVC beauty bash.
My post on the day is 'Here'.
I absolutely loved my time at the beauty bash and I was given an amazing goody bag to take home.
Inside my goody bag were some gems, one of which was this Laura Geller waterproof eye spackle in fair.

If you buy one thing this month...

As I mentioned in my August 2013 favourites video I am loving the magnifying light that I purchased from eBay.

It's so handy for doing your make up in the dark winter months, as the light is very bright and it allows me to see my skin close up when the light is bouncing off of my dressing table mirror.  And its also great for doing my nails using my Red Carpet Manicure Kit, and also looking at the small print on product labels - the list of uses is endless!

September 2013 Favourites

Here's my September Favourites video for you.  All links to the products mentioned are in the information bar of my YouTube video.

Currently Lusting After - Black Court Shoes from Clarks

I am awful in the winter time, I have loads of jumpers, and lovely winter coats but I lack decent winter footwear - be it boots, court shoes or anything that would withstand the good old English weather!

I have heard great things about Clarks shoes, how the quality of their ranges are great and that they really do last.

I am popping into my local Clarks shoe shop this weekend, I am after some court shoes for sure and maybe take a look at their boot range too.

The court shoes have definitely caught my eye, the range is extensive with prices ranging from £39.99 - £99.99 your sure to find something within your budget.

The Fluffy Bunny Challenge

I hope you enjoy our little challenge? we had fun filming it for you!

Currently Lusting After - Molecule 01

I have heard so many bloggers talking about the 'effect' of Molecule 01, and always wondered what the deal was.

So I have added it to my "Currently Lusting After" list and here's the first of many posts in my "Merry Christmas to me series" ...

Molecule 01 contains the only aroma-chemical Iso E Super, which on its own is less of a fragrance more of an effect.

The wearer (so I've been told) will notice a subtle, velvety, woody note which will disappear and then re-surface after sometime.

Blinking Lights Launch Party

I was lucky enough to be contact by Anna Ackred the designer for Blinking Lights Fashion, to join her at the launch party for her range in Hammersmith.

My (old) Deal of The Week - York and Albany restaurant through Lastminute.com Review

As you know from my previous post 'Here' I talked to you all about this amazing offer that I found on lastminute.com - now this offer has finished (which I knew it would be) but I still wanted to talk to you all about the great offer, it's value for money and how I found the restaurant.

The Restaurant was very easy to find, a short walk from Camden station

Best of British - My Guest Post on the Southern Glamourista Blog in the USA

Here's my guest post currently featured on the lovely Amanda Mae from the Southern Glamourista's blog

Hi, I'm Claire from PinkChickClaire.com.
I am an English beauty and lifestyle blogger and I live in leafy Surrey.

You may recognise me from the beauty box swaps that Amanda Mae and I have done last year?
I am so thrilled to be paired with Amanda Mae as she's such a lovely person!

When Amanda Mae asked whether I would like to guest post on her blog whilst she's on holiday I jumped at the chance.

My Deal Of The Week!

So today (Friday) I am off to one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants with a friend who adores a bit of the Gordon!

I saw this AMAZING deal on lastminute.com and I just had to go for it!

For £22.00 you get 3 courses and a cocktail whilst sitting in the beautiful town house of the York and Albany!

Here's the deal -

June 2013 Favourites

Products Mentioned in the video -

L'Oreal eye-liner
Clinique bottom lash mascara
MAC eye shadow quad
Clinique CC cream
Gabrielle Aplin Album

L'Oreal Superliner BlackBuster Review

So I was in the market for a new eye liner after using Bobbi Brown Gel eyeliners for years, and upon a visit to good old Superdrug I found the new L'Oreal Superliner blackbuster on offer!

I instantly fell in love with this liner because the felt tip nib (unlike many of the other liners on the market) - this one was rigid throughout the stem of the product which meant I can draw a perfect line without the nib melting or ruining the line drawn.

Once I sampled the nib of this liner and saw the smooth flow of dark pigmented colour flowing out of it I knew I had to buy it.

I have been using this liner for nearly two months, and I simply adore it.

The Superliner Blackbuster is L'Oreal's thickest eye marker pen yet, making it extra easy to draw bold lines. Easy to put on, easy to take off. Go on, draw a bold line!

Extra black eyeliner marker - longwear too!

Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream SPF 30 - First Impressions

So I took the plunge last weekend when I was in Boots and decided to ask for a trial size of the new Clinique Moisture Surge CC cream.

I'm not really into the whole BB cream / CC cream wave - I simply like a foundation that does what foundations are supposed too - coverage, longevity and moisturisation.

Currently Lusting After.... July 2013 Edition

Oh dear, it's that time where I have a little 5 minute break at work and lust after things which I shouldn't!

Here's two items which are currently "hovering" in their respective shopping baskets - but as of yet I haven't clicked checkout!

First up...

The Laura Mercier Votive Candle Collection

This set is currently available on House of Fraser reduced from £42.00 to £21.00!! 'Here'

Elemis Pro - Collagen Cleansing Balm - Review

Apologies for being M.I.A recently but I have moved house so things have been quite hectic for me!

Today's post is centred purely around the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm, I simply adore the stuff! :-)
I bought a fab kit from QVC about a month ago, and as soon as I saw that it contained the cleansing balm in a 30g size I HAD to have it.  I am now using up the last dregs of the balm as I have been loving using it morning and evening.

Rimmel London Salon Pro - Nail Polish Review

So I gave into another hyped-up product and thought I would try the new Rimmel London salon pro nail polishes with Lycra.

Car Booting - Tips and Tricks

I have been doing car boot sales for about 9 years (in America these are called Flea Markets) when I first of all went to a car boot sale I always thought they were for granny's who want to spend their spare time buying stuff that no one else wants, but I was very, very wrong!

Car boot sales are a great way of making extra cash, meeting new people and spending your day in the sunshine.

As I have already said in previous posts that I am moving house at the end of June, most of the things in my loft came with me from my storage unit and it has given me the perfect opportunity to replenish my car boot stock and make some extra money for all the removal costs I will incur (amongst other things).

Now I am not telling you how to run a car boot sale, everyone has their own way of doing things, but what I will tell you are some tips and tricks which I have picked up along the way to ensure that you make some extra cash (you can thank me all later!)

I live in Surrey and there are several car boots in my county, but you can find many car boots by using these websites - car boot junction and car boot sales.org

eBay Lust List

So I regularly lust after items from eBay and save things to my 'Wish List' for a pay-day when I can treat myself!

Here's my current list of gorgeous items at great prices from eBay!

Vintage clear crystal cluster statement necklace at £5.98 and 99p postage and packing is a bargain and looks way more expensive than it is!

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint Review

So I gave into the hype and bought myself my first ever Barry M Gelly nail paints!

I have heard many a lovely review of the Barry M Gelly Nail paints and being a nail varnish hoarder I just had to find out what all the fuss was about...

May Pay-day Wish list

Alternatively click 'Here' to be taken straight to Allure international subscriptions page where you can subscribe for $40 = £25.74!  Now that's a bargain.

This magazine is just pure information and I am in LOVE with it.  The articles are really great and some of which I have never known a glossy UK magazine to do.  I am now addicted, and I can see why this magazine has been so popular with my fellow UK beauty bloggers.

Butter London Lovely Jubbly nail polish 'Here' and for the USA 'Here'

Face B4 Review and Giveaway!

I was asked by a new skincare company called Face B4 to review the products and give away 3 sets of the Daily Cleansing Foam and the After Cleansing Serum.

I have had problems with my skin lately due to stress and have broken out quite a bit.  When I was approached to try this range I jumped at the chance to trial it and also help my spotty skin and at last make myself feel a little better.

The range as I mentioned is called Face B4 and it consists of a cleanser and toner in one foaming wash and an AMAZING serum. The story is it contains more anti-bacterial agents than any other face wash sold without a prescription. This means it is super effective at fighting spots / acne but also that you can take it to festivals and use it without water. That's better than face wipes!

Here's more information about the range (the give away part will come later in this post!)

FaceB4, The UK’s Most Effective Anti-Bacterial Face Wash and After Cleansing Soothing Serum
Launches Exclusively In Boots Latest Finds

June and July 2013 Magazine Freebies to look out for (UK Editions)

Here's the magazine offerings for June / July 2013 below for you all to enjoy!

Cosmo June 2013 edition £3.60

April 2013 Favourites

Here's my video on my April favourites for you all, I hope you enjoy my little selection of goodies!

Smooch Cosmetics - Cosmetics with Sex Appeal!

Smooch cosmetics is not a brand of cosmetics that I had heard of before, then I was contacted by the company and was asked what products out of their make up range I would like to be sent to review for my blog.

I pursued the fabulous website and found an abundance of sassy NARS looking packaging and beautiful colours, each with their own lace design in purple which I just fell in love with!

& Other Stories and Primark mini haul

So I caved in, I decided to visit the much talked about and Other Stories store in London's Regent Street to see what all the fuss was about!

Here's a video on the items I purchased from the store and my thoughts.

Emobox

Emobox was created from the idea that technology doesn't have to be boring and geeky.

It can be cool, glamorous and chic, representing your true personality just as equally as your clothes do! They want you to flaunt this 'stuff' and be possessive about it, not hide it like you usually do.

April Pay Day Wish List

It's the middle (ish) of the month, and oh how I lust after things which I can't really afford and that I REALLY shouldn't even be contemplating on buying!

I guess I just can't help myself....

So here you have it my rather cheeky pay day wish list with (shocker!) no beauty items included -

Women's Round Collar PU Leather Sleeve Jacket

Fresh - Soy Face Cleanser Review

I kindly received a "fresh" kit from Amanda Mae in my beauty box swap (box number 2)

I have always wanted to try the Fresh range of products as they only have one shop over here in the UK, and I have never seen their products housed anywhere else!

Amanda kindly sent me the Soy Face Cleanser which also included a mini sugar lip balm which I am yet to try.

Here's my review on the Fresh Soy Cleanser -

"Soy Face Cleanser for all skin types is an extra-gentle, multitasking gel formula that instantly whisks away everyday impurities and make-up even mascara—without stripping the skin of essential moisture.

The soap-free, fragrance free formula is also perfect for sensitive skin, too."

(information above taken from the Fresh website)

Bionsen Deodorant Review

Bionsen is a paraben and aluminium free deodorant with spa minerals to help nourish and protect skin.

It allows your skin to breathe naturally so can be used as part of a more natural beauty care regime, and the aluminium and paraben free formula offers an alternative for those concerned about the possible links with breast cancer.

Contains vital spa minerals to keep skin glowing
Great for sensitive skin
No aluminium
No parabens

Be a part of this unique generation of women, taking control of their own sensuality.

Their Story

BlueBella's CEO and Founder Emily Bendell, being half Scandinavian, had a vision to create a new company that empowered UK women to confidently explore and enjoy their sensuality. Emily felt that for too long British women's sensuality had been clouded with overtly provocative imagery and outdated attitudes. As a young, Oxford educated woman, Emily wanted to empower women to enjoy themselves in a stylish and chic way and share this message with the women around them.

BlueBella offers women an entirely new approach to sensuality and working from home. Emily's vision was to give women a genuine opportunity to build a thriving business in social selling with cutting-edge support and systems and a refreshing new ethos.

Bluebella's catalogue can be found 'Here'

I really valued BlueBella's company ethos and this is why I chose them to host my at home birthday party.

This was held on Saturday 2nd March and I found the whole experience very easy and informative and relaxed.  My party planner Claire was helpful and allowed my guests time to view the product range.

I would definitely recommend a BlueBella at home party to anyone!

I recently took delivery of all my guests purchases and they were packaged beautifully and the quality of the products received was also excellent.

Have you heard of BlueBella before?
