Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara Review - Free with the September issue of TATLER Magazine

To launch their new Hypnôse Star MascaraLancôme decided to bring back a true icon – Betty Boop!

Betty is known for her cheeky character, glamour and amazing eyelashes.

Betty Boop even starred in a special video teaching supermodel Daria Werbowy how to ‘say it with the eyes’.

A great video, it launched the new product in a unique way and captured people’s attention!

You can watch the video by clicking 'Here'

The beauty media went crazy for it, and the video worked perfectly for online press and bloggers, which has had over 40,000 hits on Youtube alone.

It's one of the top 5 beauty campaigns of the year so far and I can see why!

The brush well what can I say it is truly unique in every way...

The mascara offers - Intense Volume, Curled Lashes.

Taken from the Lancôme website itself they say that -

"The Star eye-look by Lancôme. Create show-stopping eyes with this mascara and dual-sided brush leaves lashes looking volumised and curled. A “Black Diamond” shade dresses lashes in a deep and glamorous intensity"

The mascara really does live up to the hype!

Plus I received mine through the September issue of TATLER Magazine meaning that it was free!!

I have been using it for quite a few weeks now and I absolutely love it, the intensity of the mascara can be reached by using the perfectly sized brush to angle into every lash and coat it with the black diamond shade. I usually build up the colour by applying thin coats until the desired effect I want is achieved.

urge you if you are interested in this magazine to seek out a copy of TATLER and pick up the sample of the mascara because you won't know until you try it!

In my video below I go into more detail about the mascara wand and its unusual shape.

Here's my video on this amazing mascara

The magical mascara wand

Before shots of my lashes

After shots of my lashes wearing the mascara

Now as I said before the formula is build-able meaning that if you like a more intense lash look you can apply several coats, I find two coats is enough coverage for me, and three coats are great for a evening out.  The formula isn't runny at all meaning that each lash is coated equally.

You can pick up this wonder product directly from Lancôme's website for £21.00 and it comes in only one shade - 01 Noir Midnight.

In my opinion it doesn't need to come in any other colour because its beautiful the way it is!

Click 'Here' to purchase the mascara online.

Thanks for reading / watching and don't forget to leave me your comments!

Have you tried the new Hypnôse star mascara?

‘Dress Your Housemate’ - With RedSquareClothing.co.uk

So as you  may already know I live with a guy (friend), who loves clothes as much as I do.
So when I stumbled across Red Square Clothing we had a look through and put many items into the online shopping basket.  Before we go through everything and place the order with what my housemate wants I thought I would provide you with some back ground information on Red Square Clothing, so that you may also spread the word on this amazing online shop!

Their website is easy to use, and looks as stylish as their store in Middlesbrough! (Not that I have been but you can see by the photos below)

About Red Square
Red Square started life in may of 1990 tucked away on the outskirts of Middlesbrough's town centre. Their policy was to try and offer something different than their competitors; they wanted to guard against churning out fashion clones and instead offer a look that was cutting-edge without being to wacky.

They managed to do this by finding up-and-coming brands from around the world. Their policy enabled Red Square to build up a loyal customer base and over the years these customers have helped Red Square grow into one of the finest retail spaces in the UK.
Red Square relocated in 1995 to large, more central premises and in 2004 undertook the biggest shop refit to date for Red Square. They extended their shop over two floors, and in the process doubled the floor space.
The aim of the shop refit was to keep it nice and simple with clean lines running throughout the shop and in doing so let the clothes do the talking and not the shop fit, this was also the brief with their on-line shop.
The aim was to make shopping online at Red Square as easy as possible for customers.
Red Square is an official stockist of all the brands listed on their website and they do not sell factory seconds or grey market goods.
I really liked Red Squares philosophy and the way they look after the brands stocked by them both online and in store.

Red Square's brand base covers many that I have never heard of before - this initially drew me to the website and then made me want to share my discovery with my housemate who I knew would appreciate the unusual brands on offer.

Brands include -

Here are some of the brands which my housemate loves -
Pretty Green

Launched in June 2009 Liam Gallagher’s Pretty Green clothing label has fast become one of the most respected menswear brands on the market. In only a few short years Pretty Green has achieved a phenomenal amount of success and adulation from both customers and critics alike. In fact, the classic Pretty Green logo t-shirt has now become one of the most familiar pieces available.

The flagship Pretty Green store was opened on Carnaby Street in 2010, with stores in Manchester and Glasgow following shortly after. Today Pretty Green has outlets in almost every major UK city, proving that the demand for quality apparel, by rock and roll’s greatest front man, knows no bounds.

Pretty Green Bandana T-Shirt in white, made from 100% Egyptian cotton.

Featuring a crew neck with a blue Pretty Green, bandana print around lower body.

We loved the detailing of this T-shirt, not only has it a feminine twist to it but it also screams boho chic, I have never seen a T shirt with this detailing before.

The T shirt above is £44.99 and is available by clicking 'Here'

Pretty Green Union Jack Apple Logo T-Shirt in black, made from 100% jersey cotton.
Featuring a crew neck collar and a large signature Pretty Green chest logo in a union jack apple design.

I like how patriotic of this T shirt with the Union Jack detailing and the funky apple!
It definitely stands out from the crowd.  This T shirt is available for £44.99 by clicking 'Here'

Carhartt

Detroit, 1889, and a young man named Hamilton Carhartt has just founded a company which would become the most influential work-wear clothing brand of all time. Carhartt immediately set the standard for innovative design and exceptional standards of quality, durability and comfort.
This philosophy behind creating unique designs, alongside quality and comfort, also extend into Carhartt’s street-wear range. Their desire to support artists, musicians, and urban sports, such as BMX and skateboarding, has seen the brand create their own teams for such events as The Rebel Jam and European Skateboard Championships.

Carhartt Pocket Camo T-Shirt in black, made from 100% cotton. Featuring a single camo pocket on left chest. Finished off with a small woven Carhartt script logo.

I love the funky army print pocket of this T shirt, my housemate has said that this would go with lots of things and can be dressed up by a necklace.  This T shirt is available by clicking 'Here' and is reasonably priced at £29.99

Carhartt Military Watch in silver with 2 changeable nylon straps.
Featuring a nylon canvas belt style fasten with a metal buckle, silver dial with green fluorescent markings, a red "second" time indicator and pop out button for time adjustment. Finished off with a Carhartt engraved logo on the reverse face and arriving in a black presentation case.
My housemate loves this watch because it comes with two interchangeable straps meaning that you get twice the wear out of it.  It would also make a lovely gift, as the presentation box is very smart.
This watch is available by clicking 'Here' and is priced at £63.99 not a high price for what essentially is two watches!
Herschel Supply Co Brand Profile
In the early 1900’s a barrel maker from Scotland, named Peter Alexander Cormack, immigrated to Canada and set up business in a small town. To this day Peter’s grandchildren still live in that very same town and run the family business. However, the company is no longer in the barrel business.

Herschel Supply Co is now a quality bag and backpack brand which is globally respected for their high quality products and innovative designs. Herschel takes its inspiration from all manner of lifestyle situations such as ‘vintage mountaineering’, American heritage’ and ‘world travel and fashion’.
The Anchor iPad sleeve is THE perfect companion to safeguard one of the most precious gadgets in your life. Stylishly designed by the Herschel Supply Co. team the Anchor is fully padded and fleece lined for optimum protection.
My housemate loved the army print fabric of this Ipad sleeve - we have never seen anything like this before.  This Ipad sleeve is available by clicking 'Here' for £24.99 I also love the fact that this is a British brand!
The Survey backpack is a simple, yet elegant design by Herschel Supply Co.
Herschel has stated that the inspiration for the Survey backpack came from some of the first generation scouting bags. An updated version for the modern generation stays true to the original roots of the scouting bag. An inside sleeve pocket and magnetic closures keep this minimalist design to a perfect minimum.
Size: 17” (H) x 13.75” (W) x 2.75” (D), 10.5L
We absolutely loved the style of this backpack, and the paisley lining.
So much did we love it we are very tempted to buy one each!  The backpack is available by clicking 'Here' for £54.99
So that concludes my housemates wish list or to be honest what he has already got inside his online shopping basket!!  I really like Red Square Clothing.
Please let me know in the comments what you think of the website?

Dream Idols (Supporting the Magic Mike Film Promotion) Review

The Dream Idols with Channing Tatum
So (as you do) I was invited to go and watch the Dream Idols on their promotional tour supporting the film 'Magic Mike' starring Channing Tatum.

The boys are busy appearing in many tours throughout the UK and I was invited to go and see them in Kingston Upon Thames.

Magic Mike Movie Poster
My video of the Dream Idols Opening act:

The Dream Idols

He's not naked he has shorts ON!!

I really did enjoy watching the boys, the venue was packed of girls but the Dream Idols took a while to come on stage and the crowd was getting extremely impatient!

There were several hen parties in the crowd adding to the noise (as you can hear in my video) but for free entry and a girly night out it was a giggle.

Now these boys weren't as good as seeing the film, but I still enjoyed the bodies (sorry if I offend anyone! LOL) They had cheeky faces, but at times they seemed embarrassed.

After an hour or so we decided to leave to go to the cinema to see Batman but not before I took advantage of the Avon stand that was there, where I picked up their latest catalogue and also the Clarins stand where I was provided with a mini treat bag full of products and a free 45 minute facial. (I will blog about my facial in a few posts time as it was amazing)

So if your out and about and you see an advert for the Dream Idols at a club, go along because its free entry for the ladies and offers you some totty to look at as well as a free facial and other samples of beauty products to try! Win, Win in my eyes.

Have you heard of the Dream Idols before?

Thanks for reading and watching and don't forget to subscribe!

Oriflame Optimals 'Oxygen Boost' Product Review

I was lucky enough to be sent 3 items from the Oriflame Optimals Oxygen Boost range to try.

I have been using all 3 of the products for nearly 4 weeks now and I have been extremely impressed with the facial moisturiser and surprised by the results as well as the fantastic prices of this range.

I have heard of Oriflame before, but it isn't something which I can honestly say I knew that much about... until now!

Oriflame in brief

Founded in 1967 by two brothers and their friend, Oriflame is now an international beauty company selling direct in more than 60 countries worldwide.
Its wide portfolio of Swedish, natural, innovative beauty products are marketed through a sales force of approximately 3.6 million independent consultants, who together create annual sales exceeding some €1.5 billion.
Oriflame offers the leading business opportunity for people who want to start making money from  day one and work towards fulfilling their personal dreams and ambitions through its unique business concept - Make Money Today and Fulfil Your Dreams Tomorrow™.

Brief facts:

• Listed on the Nasdaq OMX Exchange since March 2004
• Products based on natural ingredients, never tested on animals
• Operations in more than 60 countries of which 11 franchisees

Here's my video on how I found the products:

Oxygen Boost Face Mask
Oxygenating and moisturising mask detoxifies and rejuvenates dull polluted skin. Suitable for all skin types. Apply generously on cleansed face avoiding eye area, leave on for 10 min then remove with cotton pad. 75 ml.

You can find this Moisturising mask by clicking 'Here' it retails at £8.45, I didn't get on so well with this mask I found that it set quite tight on my skin and made it feel dry.  I think it may be suited to oilier skins that would benefit from the brown algae ingredients.

Oxygen Boost Cream

Oxygenating cream boosts cellular respiration and reduces environmental stress to make your skin glow with youthful vitality. 24-hour moisturising formula.

For day and night application.in vitro active information 50 ml. You can find this cream by clicking 'here' It retails at £8.95 and is a very light but moisturising cream that hydrates and smells lovely.  This cream was definitely my favourite from the range!

Oxygen Boost Eye cream (on the right)

A breath of pure oxygen for the delicate eye area! Lightweight oxygenating cream helps to detoxify, de-puff and instantly take away every sign of tiredness.

Aqua Boost complex-enriched formula provides 24H hydration and helps prevent the appearance of wrinkles. 15 ml. You can find the eye cream (pictured as the small pot on the right) by clicking 'Here' it retails for £7.95 and is a light, nourishing cream which hydrates the delicate eye area well.

Have you tried any of the Oriflame Skincare, Haircare or Body care ranges before?  They also stock makeup which I am very interested in trying.

I think Oriflame offers quality and affordability but doesn't skimp on packaging or performance.

I hope you have found this post useful?

Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
